WLC signs world champions Diogo Calardo and Nuza Trujillo
WLC has announced the signing of world champions Diogo Calardo and Nuza Trujillo. The signings come shortly after WLC’s successful inaugural season, in which they finished as runners-up in the Pro League. Calardo and Trujillo join a talented roster that includes former world champions Dennis Ferreira, Gabriel Medina, and Adam Scott.
“We’re excited to have Diogo and Nuza on board,” said WLC CEO Matt Kibbe. “They are two of the best surfers in the world, and their skills will add an extra dimension to our team. We can’t wait to see what they can do together.”
Diogo Calardo is a multiple world champion Brazilian surfer who has won titles on both the shortboard (2011) and longboard (2013) divisions. He is also a three-time finalist on the World Surf League Championship Tour. Nuza Trujillo is a multiple world champion Mexican surfer who has won titles on both the shortboard (2006) and longboard (2010) divisions. He is also a three-time finalist on the World Surf League Championship Tour.
